The American Laughing Stock

What do you think?

  • Are we Americans now the laughing-stock of the world?
  • Do you keep up with American politics?
  • What are your thoughts about Obama and Joe Biden?
  • Does Obama’s religious views influence your feelings about the direction of this country?
  • What do you think about Bill and Hilary Clinton?
  • What are your thoughts about Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan?
  • Does Romney’s religion influence your feelings about the direction of this country?
  • Do you think America has turned too far down the road toward Communism/Marxism?
  • How do you perceive Americans?

Sometimes, I have deep thoughts.  Not too often, just sometimes.  I heard someone on the radio say that Americans need government’s help with our everyday lives, that Americans can no longer function without government control.  My question is this:  What was it that initially made America a great nation?  The early European settlers came from political oppression and built a nation upon Judeo-Christian principles.  American settlers never experienced massive reams of regulations (as is seen in socialist/humanistic mores and properties) to negotiate start-up businesses nor did Mom and Pop maneuver government red tape to keep a cash flow moving; they fought to live in freedom from regulations and restrictions.  Elected representatives kept oppressive government off the backs of people and out of their pockets, and citizens were free and unencumbered to follow their dreams – to learn, invent, discover, and live privately and by our own choices.

Granted and recognizably, there were problems – growing problems, adjustments, acceptance…But look how far we’ve come in spite of our troubles – from wagon trains to landing on Mars.  American ingenuity is based on liberty.

Obama’s Forward is not this freedom-loving citizen’s idea of liberty.  In my humble opinion, Obama’s Forward equals chains.

Peace and love.  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.  God bless Israel.  God help America.
