The Skreed on Sarah Palin

Do you remember this guy?

Look carefully.

Of course, you do!

He was the guy your mama told you to stay away from.  Mama knew about  Mr. Gorgeous and his affect on young women.  Mama knew he was so dang good-looking and charming that young girls couldn’t resist.  Girls fell hook, line, and sinker.  Mama kept saying no, you can’t see him no, you can’t go out with him – forget that boy – he’s trouble…

But, you just couldn’t help yourself.  The more she said no, the more you were attracted to him.  The more you wanted to talk to him.  The more you wanted to be with him.  You had to see him.  You had to hear his voice.  Just because Mom said no.

I realize I’m making a odd comparison here, but I feel the same way about Sarah Palin just because the left-wing media is acting just like Mama.  Apparently, the left sword throwers didn’t have mamas, poor things.  I mean, don’t they know about mamas?   Are they mamaless?   Because if they had mamas, they would know that mama’s psychology really works.

Initially, I wasn’t very impressed with Sarah Palin.  I was impressed with her energy and her charisma, but she seemed rote and patterned in the presidential election campaign.  She was thrust under a microscope too quickly and dissected for any signal of weakness and fault with the mamaless media saying she’s inexperienced, she’s too common, she’s not presidential material.  But in that time, she showed uncommon courage and mental fortitude, a powerful combination.

And she has risen to become a major player in American politics.  She’s beautiful and she plays hardball.  That’s just too much brain activity for the leftist naysayers.

Last week, the cheap and lackluster blame game was sported in the wake of the Arizona tragedy, and observing the left nitpickers spew their green, slimy hatred, the more balanced Sarah looks.  The crazier the railers scold her, the more powerful Sarah becomes.   Why?  Because of Mama.  Mama always said, “Open mouth; insert foot.”  The jealous left is choking on its own foot!  The blame game is old fodder.

Doesn’t the media get it?

Sarah has become wise.  Sarah has passed the School of Hard Knocks.  She is an overcomer.

Don’t shut up, Sarah!

(This is my party, and you can cry if you want to.)

Agree 100% with you! The more the liberals scorn Sarah, the more independent Americans will come to her side.

Oh, and I like your new look here!

Yep, you’re right. I’m not totally on the Sarah bandwagon yet – but it’s not because I don’t like her – it’s because I don’t pay enough attention. She’s tough, and she’s hanging in there and handling herself with grace and dignity. She’s outspoken and certainly not mealy-mouthed and she is standing the test of time and gaining experience in doing so. She’s definitely worth watching. If she were tough and plain-looking, what do you think the left would do??? She just happens to be beautiful! Why can’t a woman be beautiful AND intelligent AND tough??? Great post, Gib – you’ve certainly got a way with words!

you’ve got it girl….they left just doesn’t get it….I don’t know if Sarah Palin is presidential material…but she sure has the other side scared too death….why else would they put so much energy in her???

It will certainly be interesting to see how this all plays out. I’m not quite on her bandwagon, yet.

Sarah rocks! I’m glad she’s on our team.

I don’t follow politics much but I do agree with you on Sarah. She had been hit hard but always bounces back, looking pretty good along the way.
