I tripped on my shoelace

And I fell up —

Up to the roof tops,

Up over the town,

Up past the tree tops,

Up over the mountains,

Up where the colors

Blend into the sounds.

But it got me so dizzy

When I looked around,

I got sick to my stomach

And I threw down.

Oh, to be young again and feel so energetic! Such pretty young ladies and I’ll bet they are just as sweet.

Here in our part of the south the term “throw down” is used almost daily. Our definition usually means to either eat like a pure glutton, as in, “I’m goin to the buffet and goin to ‘throw down’, or beat someone’s butt in a competition of some sort. By the way, some of the folks around here pronounce buffet so that it rhymes with Jimmy Buffett! Hee hee, ain’t we country?

That looks like fun. I imagined myself on a trampoline. I had a vision of flying. Then my vision was marred by a picture of paramedics, so I mentally got off and went to do something safer.

Debbie: Thanks so much for your comment on my blog about jury duty! I so agree with you and will remember those comments should I be called again. I honestly think I could just love it if you lived in my neighborhood.
